There are two type of staples in this game: Salvage and Rations

Salvage

Generic Salvage: This type of salvage is used to repair items. Items include but are not limited to weapons and vehicles. This type of Salvage is only acquirable with the Salvage feat.

Medical Salvage: This type of salvage is used to create Med Kits. 2 Medical Salvage units are needed in order to attempt a Craft: Med Kit role, which is DC 25. You may not take 10 on this check and a Critical Failure on the role consumes 1 unit of Medical Salvage and fails to create a Med Kit. Medical Salvage can be found by looting and does not require a feat.

Without this feat it takes 10 medical salvage to produce 1 med-kit.

Rations

Food Rations: Food Rations are consumables to keep your energy up. This could be a bag of chips, a bottle of water, an MRE, etc. A person only needs one Food Ration per day to stay healthy, fit and active. "Food Rations" are fairly generic and always incorporate the consumption of liquids unless otherwise noted.
Food Rations can be found by looting and does not require a feat.

Gas Rations: You need gas to travel around. One gas ration is the equivalency to one gallon of gas! The vehicle you choose along with the weight you carry as a party will determine your rough MPG. This will not be an exact measurement, but a loaded up Prius will get you further on one gas ration than an empty Semi-Truck, for example, though a Semi-Truck may be a safer vehicle to travel in. Gas Rations can be found by looting and does not require a feat.

*Note* Whoever volunteers to monitor Party (not just their individual) Ration and Salvage gain and use will get BONUS XP for that game. The Bonus XP will depend on the average party XP gained.
